There isn't any written regulation that all PIE members MUST know the EVE storyline, but one should have an idea of what it's about, since we are an extremely loyal and faithful corporation to the Amarr Empire, and has been since 2003, with the early creation of EVE Online.
Mercenaries a.k.a. Templars and Royal Infantry Units, should have a clue of what they're actually fighting for.
We are not looking for mindless killers and alike.
Further, one of the key things in PIE is also RP (Roleplaying) and IC (In Character) based discussions.
People are encouraged to get a Keyboard & Mouse for writing with ease, since the Dualshock makes that road a whole lot longer. It's not mandatory to be able to write fast or anything, but infantry soldiers should be able to at least write a slow, but short, introduction and such in their application to PIE.
Joining PIE, will grant you a whole new dimension of understanding of the EVE universe, and how close one actually can get and feel to a Corporation and Alliance in this universe.
History is rich, and events as such. We are very much active in the Factional Warfare against the treacherous Minmatar and dishonourable Gallente. Until DUST 514 official release, things will be most prioritized on capsuleers and their business. Our ground strike force is building up however, so now is the time to join and help us mold it to what it can become!
